Get Runes
At level 5,000, speak to the Dungeons NPC at the back of the Dungeon Island coliseum. Pick the Rune Dungeon — Runes drop from its wave clears.

Runes are end-game gear that multiply your damage output and survivability. The entire loop is gated behind unlocking the Rune Dungeon, so Ancient Pieces + Dungeon unlock is a hard prerequisite.
At level 5,000, speak to the Dungeons NPC at the back of the Dungeon Island coliseum. Pick the Rune Dungeon — Runes drop from its wave clears.
Inventory → scroll tabs → Rune (between Accessory and Aura). Select the Rune to attach it. Buffs appear in your Stats screen.
Rune mastery only goes up by re-running the Rune Dungeon. Every run adds XP toward your Rune Level, unlocking stronger multipliers.
There is no alternate grind. Every clear ticks the counter up; higher Rune Level unlocks stronger passive multipliers from every Rune you equip. Queue multiple clears back-to-back while keys are stacked.

Pick up the Level 5,000 quest on Dungeon Island, collect six puzzle pieces across six islands, beat 25 bosses and unlock Dungeons.
Farm the Vampire King, aim for a 4.40% drop and route the rings into Ascension 4 / 6 or the Vampire King fighting style.
Track the Sailor Island temple timer, grind Jinwoo for 7% Dark Ring drops and trade into Ascend II or the Solo Hunter sword.
